The first single from the new Aaliyah album premiered on the Internet on Monday morning and will be streaming for a week.
"Miss You" is among the three tracks currently featured on AOL.
The previously unreleased ballad is from the first posthumous Aaliyah project, titled I Care 4 U and due December 10, according to a Blackground Records spokesperson.
Missy Elliott said recently the album will feature Aaliyah's musical peers finishing several songs the singer was working on before she died last fall.
Portions of proceeds from I Care 4 U, which is also the title of Aaliyah's current single from her last, self-titled album, will go to the Aaliyah Memorial Fund, benefiting the Revlon UCLA Women's Cancer Research Program and Harlem's Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

In America, England and all around the world, fans gathered around and
held candlelight vigils in memory of our queen Aaliyah. Stunningly
beautiful, intelligent and a role model to millions, she will be missed
forever. There are many imitators today but Aaliyah can never be
duplicated. From teen R&B girl she became R&B queen and there will
never be another like her. May she and those who lost their lives Rest In
Peace.
Please leave your tributes in the guestbook in memory of Aaliyah.

Funeral Controversy Virgin Records is facing legal action from the funeral home that looked after the body of tragic R&B star Aaliyah, who claim the bill has never been paid. Butlers Funeral Homes and Crematorium in Nassau, in the Bahamas, say they spent almost £50,000 preparing the bodies of those killed, including Aaliyah, in a plane crash last August. Loretta Turner, of the home, insists they and were told by Virgin, Aaliyah's label, that all expenses would be met following their care with the eight deceased. However, record company executives Ken and Nancy Berry, who apparently approved for Virgin to foot the bill, have since left the company and Ms Turner has been unable to reclaim the money. She explained: "We were working over the weekend to get the bodies out as quickly as possible. The deal was all verbal, but the truth of the matter is, they knew they were obliged. "They have kept us waiting for nearly a year and have basically said, since the Berrys are no longer there, they have no responsibility to us". Ms Turner has now been forced to contact the family of Aaliyah, who also claim Virgin Records have not paid them for funeral costs, reports the BBC. They are suing Virgin, alleging negligence and recklessness caused by the crash. ________________________________________________________________
